Fiberglass pipe insulation is commonly distributed in 36″ lengths and is used to insulate standard iron pipe and copper piping and tubing. It is available plain or with a factory-applied vapor-barrier jacket that includes a self-sealing closure lap.
Fiberglass pipe insulation with a vapor-barrier jacket allows for latex paint application after installation. These jackets also generally have a factory-installed tape system that allows for installation in temperatures as low as 20°F (-7°C) and also ensures that the fiberglass pipe insulation remains durable in high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.
